We are going forward with BOTH ski race dates this year with some important modifications which will be outlined more thoroughly on our website at www.winonaforest.com and at skireg as we move forward.
The Try-It race will consist of our classic cross-country race, and the NEW ADDITION of a skate/freestyle component. The date for these races is Saturday, January 23rd. Both will be 12.5K. This is a perfect day for people looking for a day to explore the forest with family, friends or just to have fun outdoors. There is no pressure in these races! It also is a great preparation day for the upcoming Tourathon.

The "Stone Wall" features a variety of trail types, from groomed packed trail, to single track, hills both steep and gentle. The Tug’s powerful lake effect snow machine provides reliable snow conditions year after year. We have never had to cancel. Choose from a 5K citizen's distance that accommodates all ability levels, and is family friendly. Or choose the relentless 10K, actual distance a bit longer than that. The 10K course is one you will never forget, and is designed to be a worthy challenge for all fitness levels. Walk, run, do a little of both, it’s your day to enjoy Snowshoe Racing at its finest.

The 2021 Winona Forest Tourathon promises to once again delight Nordic skiers from across the USA and beyond. Our lake effect snow machine, and professional grooming equipment will provide participants with unrivaled Nordic conditions.
Please become a member of our club. This keeps the tourathon alive and well, and allows our volunteers to keep the trails in great condition all winter long. To become a member, please visit Winona Membership.
For 2021 we must adhere to the following guidelines for our races:
IMPORTANT NOTE: For those skiing the 4 loop (50 km) distance, due to the safety concerns a CUT-OFF time is being imposed. If you do not start your final loop of the event by 1:30 p.m., you will be asked to finish down the finishing lane upon arrival at the junction. If you wish to proceed beyond and continue against the Race Officials warnings -your race bib will be removed and you will be disqualified from the race.
Thank you for supporting our non-profit organization. Spending time on Winona's ski trails, you are sure to have noticed a significant improvement of ski conditions over the years, on more of a reliable basis. Your contributions help with this.
Registrations are non-refundable under all circumstances. In the case that we have to cancel this event, we will consider all registrations as a donation to our club. In turn we will return our appreciation in the form of fabulous well-groomed trails for you to enjoy throughout the winter.
