Cleveland Historical Society Hosts Spaghetti Dinner and Silent AuctionPosted on Jan 17, 2014
CLEVELAND – Come to the Cleveland Historical Society’s annual spaghetti dinner and silent auction on Saturday, January 18. The event is open from 4 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion Post #858 on state Route 49 in the village of Cleveland.
The meal, prepared by the experienced cooks of the Cleveland Historical Society, will include spaghetti, homemade meatballs and sauce, sausage, tossed salad, Italian bread, homemade desserts and beverages.
Dinner tickets can be purchased at the door and are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors aged 55 and over, and $5 for children age 12 and under. Take-out will also be available.
The evening includes a silent auction with many quality items such as local prints, puzzles, books, glassware, paintings and gift certificates. Also available for sale this year is the limited edition book, “Poems, Facts and Tales: Musings of a former Village of Cleveland Historian,” by Lawrence Cottet (1904-1982).
This is a great opportunity to enjoy a good meal, visit with friends and support the Cleveland Historical Society. There will be a membership table set up for people to complete a membership application, pay their 2014 dues and receive a free gift. The society is looking for both active and supporting members. Dues are $10 per person, $15 for two people, or $20 for a family or business. All who sign up will receive e-mail updates throughout the year.
