FULTON – The Fulton Art Association hosts a photography competition on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, Aug. 4 from 12 to 4:30 p.m. The show takes place in the community room of the Fulton Municipal Building, 141 S. “This is the association’s first strictly-photography exhibit,” said Kathryn Mihalek, president of the Fulton Art Association. “We received entries from nearly two dozen photographers from Central Square, Fulton, Mexico, Oswego and Phoenix.”
The competition encompasses four categories: nature and landscapes, people and portraits, animals, and black and white photography. Prizes will be awarded for first and second places, honorable mention, viewer’s choice, and best of show.
Throughout the weekend, all show visitors will receive a ballot to vote for their favorite entry in the competition. The votes will be counted on Sunday afternoon and the winner will be announced in the local newspapers.
