Do you love ghost stories? Come hear the stories that have flourished by word of mouth – some for hundreds of years to the present day. They will enchant, entertain and perhaps even scare you. Give us 90-minutes to take you in search of the many ghosts rumored to haunt the Port City. Total walking distance is approx.1 mile, covered at a very leisurely pace so that you can enjoy Oswego’s haunted locations.

You will hear of the specters that haunt the streets, tunnels, homes, & businesses of our fair city. Oswego’s rich history and proximity to water keep the spirits active and sometimes obvious! We have ghosts which dictate remodeling and and one that has made appearances in broad daylight! The identity of some of our ghosts are well known, while others remain a mystery.

Ride with Us, If you Dare!

Welcome back to the Haunted Forest for our 8th season in 2019. Come join us this October at the Slaughter House, the Dark Harvest walking trail and the Original Wagon ride through the haunted forest.

Haunted Forest Trail Ride

Our original and longest attraction is the Haunted Forest trail ride. Discover the spirits that lurk in the night in our custom passenger wagons or for the even more adventurous, our Hearse! This is an authentic antique hearse and it has been used to transport many a mortal to their final resting place. Wind through the forest as you uncover the evil that lurks in the night. Every twist and turn uncovers new sights and sounds for all to enjoy.

Dark Harvest Walking Trail

For our braver guests we also offer our walking trail. A totally different experience from our riding trail that lets you get up close and personal with your fears. Not everyone is up to the task but If you have nerves of steel, you just may survive it.

The Slaughter House

If close quarters are not your thing, we strongly suggest you stay away from our cabin in the woods. The family there has their very own special brand of southern hospitality. Thought we’re sure they’d love to invite you in as their guest, we aren’t so sure they’ll want you to leave.

The forest is open Fridays and Saturdays for the month of October. Night-time attractions are open from 7-11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
