Come and enjoy one of Lake Ontario’s best fisheries on the Oswego River with Lake run fly and guide. Starting mid September large Chinook salmon begin to make their annual migration into the river system and the action is hard to beat!

Late October large brown trout follow the salmon into tributaries to gorge on eggs and prepare themselves for their annual spawn. While some browns return to the lake after spawning, many fish will winter over in the river giving the angler ample opportunity to fish for them throughout the winter and into spring.

November brings the crown jewel of Lake Ontario tributary fish, steelhead. A large, strong, and acrobatic rainbow trout that winters over in the river and spawns in the spring. Simply put, they are an awesome fish.

Captain Adrian LaSorte’s Guide Service is dedicated to providing flyfishers with the very best trout, salmon and saltwater flats fishing in the East.

Adrian has developed a special knowledge of New York’s Salmon River, and many of the tributaries lining the western edge of Lake Ontario, where trophy king and coho salmon and awesome lake-fed browns make their Fall and Spring spawning runs. Either streamside or from a driftboat, Adrian has helped his clients catch salmon in excess of 30 pounds, along with six- to ten-pound browns.

“The Salmon River is one of the best rivers for cohos and kings that I’ve ever fished and it’s among the best in the country,” Adrian says “It’s hard to believe the size of the fish this river produces, and the opportunity it offers the flyfisher for landing a fish that he or she will never forget.”

Come and and enjoy the incredible fishing aboard our 18’ jet boat, and see why Oswego county fishing is hard to beat!
