Getting Happy in the Valley Joins the Durty Bikes Gravel Series

The Durty Bikes Gravel Series, presented by Van Bortel Ford, is excited to roll out its 2020 calendar with four killer gravel road races. Now in its 5th year of hosting a ravel series, the Durty Bikes brand of gravel racing brings riders a completely unique experience. With punchy courses of 35-45 miles (long) or 15-20 miles (short), these races offer a sweet spot of gravel where road, cross, and fondo meet, creating true American Spring Classics.

Getting Happy in the Valley (GHITV), hosted by Ride Oswego County at Happy Valley Wildlife Management Area in Parish, NY, features an exciting course of punchy climbs, technical bits, and a thrilling motocross track finish, all as part of the local firemen’s festival.

New to the Durty Bike Series, but not to gravel racing, our June 20, 2020 championship race also brings you the 2020 NYS Gravel Championship, sponsored by NYSBRA.

Ride Oswego County’s Bryan Blake comes to the series with mounds of experience. He has hosted GHITV three times, as well as serving as director of the Seneca Circuit and Tour de Loop. “My goal for Ride Oswego County events has always been threefold: give people a reason to come to and enjoy Oswego County, get people out riding and racing bikes at quality events, and to work with various public safety agencies to provide a means of fundraising and donations,” said Blake. “Joining the Durty Bikes Gravel Series gives us a broader opportunity to achieve those goals.”
