Lecture at H. Lee White Museum set for Aug. 25thPosted on Aug 16, 2013
As part of the commemoration of the 70th year of the H. Lee White Museum & Maritime Center’s National Historic Landmark WWII Tugboat, LT-5 Captain Lance Knapp,will give a presentation on the history of the vessel, which served in the Normandy Invasion. Knapp spearheaded the restoration efforts of the tugboat over the last 20 years and maintained the fully operational vessel until retiring last year along with his First Engineer, Don Smith. The presentation is part of the Museum’s Celebrating Our WWII Heroes event set for Sunday, August 25 starting at 2 pm.
