This event will benefit Purpose Farms
Some information on Purpose Farms...Purpose Farm mentors youth ages 6-18 who have emotional trauma from neglect and or abuse. They are paired with rescued farm and exotic animals that came from similar circumstances.
Through contact with our animal mentors & human mentors, these youth gain a purpose, experience genuine love, and hope is restored, while building confidence and gaining empathy towards humans and animals. Their animal mentors include horses, goats, pigs, alpacas, donkeys, a variety of birds and more.

This year we have a combined AMA District II Fly-In (18th annual) and 40th Annual STARS Model Air Show.
Back in 2002 STARS hosted the first AMA District II fun fly and picnic. After 17 years it has come back to STARS and Central New York!
Plenty of space for primitive camping and parking for RVs (no hookups). Friday arrivals are welcome, please contact us in advance.
Free pilot registration on the days of the event. AMA membership required.
Food concessions. Prize and 50/50 raffles. Swap shop. Both days open to the public.
!!! Raffle proceeds to benefit Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital !!!
Saturday, August 31
- 9 am pilot safety meeting and start of flying.
- Open flying all day.
- Free lunch for registered pilots!
- BBQ dinner and DJ Midnite Rambler
Sunday, September 1
- 10 am pilot safety meeting and start of flying.
- Traditional STARS Air Show program with open flying most of the day.
- Noon demonstration flights
