Barbara Donohue Dr. Fort Ontario Oswego, NY 13126 315-343-5675 Open House Saturdays at Schroeppel Historical SocietyOpen House Saturdays at Schroeppel Historical Society – The Schroeppel Historical Society invites the public to Open House Saturdays and Garage Sale each Saturday through August with a docent on hand to answer visitors' questions .The 112 year- old- building, formerly St. John's Episcopal Church, boasts an impressive carved chestnut altar piece and original stained glass windows which light the building beautifully during the summer months. The exterior and interior of the building have been repaired and accurately preserved in keeping with its English Country Gothic architecture. Current and former residents of Phoenix, and the Shineman Foundation funded these improvements. The weekly garage sale, featuring quality items, will contribute to the final cost for basement stability Fund.
