Eleventh Hunter Arms Homecoming WeekendEleventh Hunter Arms Homecoming Weekend – To celebrate the city of Fulton’s history, and one of the industries that helped the city prosper during the early 20th century, the Friends of History in Fulton is once again holding the Hunter Arms Homecoming, slated for Friday, August 19, and Saturday, August 20. The two-day event consists of displays set up in the John Wells Pratt House Museum, along with a shooting competition that takes place at Pathfinder Fish and Game Club on Saturday. The festivities will wrap up with a banquet Saturday evening at Tavern on the Lock in Fulton, NY. For more information, contact Theresa Jones at 315-598-4616. John Wells Pratt House Museum 177 S 1st St Fulton, NY 13069 315-598-4616 Open House Saturdays at Schroeppel Historical SocietyOpen House Saturdays at Schroeppel Historical Society – The Schroeppel Historical Society invites the public to Open House Saturdays and Garage Sale each Saturday through August with a docent on hand to answer visitors' questions .The 112 year- old- building, formerly St. John's Episcopal Church, boasts an impressive carved chestnut altar piece and original stained glass windows which light the building beautifully during the summer months. The exterior and interior of the building have been repaired and accurately preserved in keeping with its English Country Gothic architecture. Current and former residents of Phoenix, and the Shineman Foundation funded these improvements. The weekly garage sale, featuring quality items, will contribute to the final cost for basement stability Fund.
