I want to share my love of travel with them all. So, I recently planned a weekend trip to Oswego with some friends and their kids. We had a great day exploring the city and now I’m ready to share some family-friendly things to do in Oswego with you.

The livestream from our LightSound box will begin at 2pm on Monday on our Facebook page (facebook.com/visitoswegocounty.) Take some time to listen to the changing sounds during the eclipse. We are proud to make this eclipse accessible for those with visual impairment while also demonstrating how light turns into sound.

If you`re looking for a fun, eclipse-related activity to do with kids over the weekend, try making these fun eclipse viewers! These viewers will provide extra protection for safely viewing the solar eclipse as it makes it harder to look outside the lenses on the eclipse glasses. Hi friends ... it`s your pal Ozzy! 👋 I decided to hop on a snowflake and come to Oswego County to see the solar eclipse on Monday! The North Pole won`t have totality, and with the anticipated incredible weather in the area on Monday, Oswego County is the place to be to watch this special celestial event!
My friends at the Oswego County Tourism office made sure I was prepared with eclipse glasses. If you need glasses, be sure to stop by the tourism office at 46 E. Bridge Street on the third floor and pick some up. ☀️🌑☀️

We`re going to look past the snow coming this week and look ahead to the weather for Monday ... aka eclipse day! ☀️🌑☀️
As of today, we are quite confident that we are going to see sun and have a gorgeous eclipse day! Weather is always changing, so we will be keeping our eyes to the sky, but we cannot be happier with how the forecast is looking! 🎉 As you`re preparing to head to your viewing area, note that temperatures will drop during the eclipse and it will be cooler near the Lake Ontario shoreline. Be sure to dress for varying temperatures.
If you need eclipse glasses for the day, we do have glasses available in the tourism office. We`re located at 46 E. Bridge Street in Oswego on the third floor.
