     Oswego River:

According to Larry Muroski of Larry’s Oswego Salmon Shop:

The water level has finally dropped to just under 10,000cfs. Areas all along the West River Walk including up behind the shop and the Post Office are now fishable and the water is crystal clear. Trout beads, egg sacs, hair jigs and wax worms are suggested baits.  Driftboat anglers have reported some nice double-digit catches recently. A couple of anglers have reported some brown trout activity off the shoreline of the lake.

     Pulaski area/Salmon River:

      Salmon River:

According to Whitaker’s Sport Shop & Motel:

As of right now we don’t have any snow and the conditions have felt spring like. Over the last couple of days very few anglers have been on the water, but the upper end of the river continues to get the most attention. Anglers staying in the motel reported getting into fish in the Lower Fly Zone, below the Altmar bridge, Wire Hole and Trestle pool under light fishing pressure.

According to Dave Wood of Woody’s Tackle:

The water level in the river is down to 500cfs and the fishery is on fire. Steelhead, domestic rainbows and brown trout can be found throughout the river. Along with the river, streams including the Sandies are prime for the picking.

     Oneida Lake:

After the weekend, temperatures have been well into the 30s and low 40s and the extended forecast is showing no real cold temperatures.   Reports indicate there is still some ice on Big Bay with some nice size sunfish along with perch, walleye and crappies being taken. Spikes and wax worms are the baits to try. With these temperatures, ice conditions can vary greatly so please use extreme caution if you choose to venture out.

     Sandy Pond:

According to Dave Wood of Woody’s Tackle:

The cold temperatures last weekend were as expected short lived and the thermometer has been above freezing most of the week. With these conditions, any ice on Sandy Pond is very tentative and most areas are not fishable.
