Courses in Oswego County are starting to prepare after the long winter, with some now open to walkers. With the weather improving, be sure to check out our local courses for their opening days so you can get those early spring rounds in!

❤️🥾 Want to spend Valentine`s Day in nature? Head to Selkirk Shores State Park on February 14 from 6-8 p.m. for a candlelight hike! Snowshoes will be available for rental for $5 but are not required for the walk. Refreshments and hot cocoa will be available after the walk. Selkirk Shores State Park is located at 7101 St. Rte. 13 in Pulaski.

❄️ Winter is snowmobile season in Oswego County. Of course there are trails to explore, but there we`re highlighting a few upcoming snowmobile events around the county!
On Saturday, February 7 head to the Fulton War Memorial for the 26th Annual Great Eastern Whiteout. The event runs from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.. Show registration runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a trophy presentation at 3 p.m. There will be vendors, a swap meet, and more! This year`s featured sled is the Mercury. The Fulton War Memorial is located at 609 W. Broadway. Proceeds from this event go toward local charities.
NNYVSR-Snowmobile Ice Oval Racing also takes place on February 7 at Kasoag Lake Tavern & Grill. Racer registration begins at 8 a.m., with hot laps at 10 a.m. and racing to follow at 11 a.m. Admission is $10. @kasoaglaketavern is located at 603 Co. Rte. 30 in Williamstown.
Looking ahead, the Kasoag Lake Triple Fest is coming up on February 14 at Kasoag Lake Tavern & Grill. Adult admission is $20 and children under 16 are admitted for $5. There will be food, vendors, and of course ... exciting snowmobile racing! Kasoag Lake Tavern and Grill is located at 603 Co. Rte. 30 in Williamstown.

🎣 Mark your calendars ... the first free fishing days in New York State will be February 14-15. For those two days, you will not need a license to fish in Oswego County waters, but all other rules and regulations will apply.

🏁 As much as we love winter fun, nothing compares to summer excitement in Oswego County.
For @superdirtcar fans, Super DIRT Week at Oswego Speedway is always circled on the calendar. The only other 2026 series stop in Oswego County takes place Monday, August 17 at Brewerton Speedway for the annual SummerFAST race.
It may feel far off now, but before long @brewerton_speedway, @fultonspeedway, and @officialoswegospeedway will roar back to life, delivering adrenaline-filled weekends all summer long in Oswego County.
