Fruit Valley Fall Festival: Sept. 14

Fall in Oswego County kicks off with the Fruit Valley Fall Festival! Head to Fruit Valley Orchard and Greenhouses on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The festive day promises fun for the whole family, featuring live music, hayrides, a dunk booth, face painting, food, animals, bubble shows, children’s games, a pie eating contest and more! Ontario Orchards Fall Jamboree: Sept. 21-22

Another event you’re sure to want to check out is Ontario Orchard’s annual Fall Jamboree! This festival celebrates the change of the season with food, activities, vendors, live entertainment, U-pick apples and pumpkins, wagon rides, pony rides, inflatables and more! Attendees can also walk through the corn maze, decorate their own pumpkins, see exotic animals from G&G Animals, and enjoy fall themed treats. The fun takes place Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 21 and 22 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. rain or shine. Admission and parking are free. The Fall Jamboree is hosted at Ontario Orchards’ farm, located at 15273 Center Rd., Sterling, N.Y.

Locktoberfest: Sept. 28

Head to Phoenix, N.Y. for Locktoberfest on Saturday, Sept. 28! The all-day event takes place at the State Street Downtown Business District. This festival includes live music, 45 local vendors, seven food trucks/vendors, fireworks and more. Central Square Apple Festival: Sept. 28 and 29

Prefer apples to pumpkins? Head over to the Central Square Apple Festival on Sept. 28 and 29! The event is the largest fundraiser for the Hastings Lions Club and features all the classic festival favorites, including rides, food, entertainment, raffles, crafters, vendors and more. With a nominal admission charge of $5 per carload, Central Square Apple Fest is the perfect affordable fall event for the whole family! The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Brewerton Speedway, 60 U.S. Rte. 11 Central Square, N.Y. Curtis Manor Apple Fest: Sept. 29

Speaking of apples, Curtis Manor is hosting an apple fest on Sunday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.! The event is filled with family fun, such as games, crafts, a bounce house, live music, local vendors, fresh apples, drinks, food and more. Family Fall Festival at the Oswego County Fairgrounds: Oct. 4-6

Fun from the County Fair returns during the fall season with the Family Fall Festival! Enjoy festive food, rides, live music, local vendors, scarecrow and pumpkin decorating contests, tractor pulls and more! Admission and parking are free for the event, which takes place on Oct. 4 from 5 to 9 p.m.; Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Oswego County Fairgrounds is located at 291 Ellisburg St., Sandy Creek. CNY Pumpkin Fest: Oct. 5 and 6

Come out to the CNY Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5 and Sunday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free event offers loads of family fun, including live music, kids’ activities, amusements, food and drinks, local vendors, and more. Fulton Fall Festival: Oct. 5

Looking for more fall festivities? Head to the Fulton Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a day of fun for the whole family! The event features a wide variety of local vendors, live music, food trucks, children’s activities, a trackless train, a hot air balloon walk and more! Scarecrows in the Square Festival: Oct. 5

Head to Central Square on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a day full of family fun, sweet treats, scare crows, games and more! Unique, hand-crafted scarecrows will be on display, and winners will be crowned for “most creative” and “best dressed.” The brand-new event is hosted by Country Glazed, located at 548 S. Main St. in Central Square. While you’re there, be sure to try the delicious donuts and coffee Country Glazed has to offer!
