Go on a Coffee Crawl in Oswego County!

Coffee lovers won’t want to miss this fun activity! Explore the area’s great coffee places by participating in the Oswego County Coffee Crawl! Owners of cafes in the county joined forces to offer this exciting initiative, encouraging residents and visitors to check out a variety of places all while supporting small businesses.

How it Works:

Each participating location will have passports available now until July 31. Grab a passport and visit each stop listed to get stamps or stickers for your passport. Return your completed passport by July 31 to any participating café to be entered to win prizes! While the Coffee Crawl runs through the end of July, anyone interested in joining the fun is encouraged to grab a passport soon, as they are limited.

The Angry Barista: This is a “pop-up” style coffee shop, setting up at different locations throughout the county during warmer weather! Follow the shop’s Facebook page to stay up to date on where it will be set up each week. The Angry Barista makes its return on March 1.

Books & Brew: This coffee shop is the perfect space for book lovers! Enjoy a coffee and sweet treat and browse the books and bookish items for sale. The café also frequently hosts vendors for shopping events after hours, supporting other small local businesses. Books & Brew is located at 3280 Main St., Mexico N.Y. and is open Monday-Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Coco Café: Coco Café and Gallery is a unique coffee spot, as it is a student-run business! Students in CiTi BOCES programs run the café, where you can get beverages and treats and browse the gift shop. The café is located at 129 Cayuga St. in Fulton, N.Y. and is open Tuesday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Coffee Connection: Enjoy a cozy beverage at Oswego’s oldest coffee house! Housed in a former fire station, this shop’s unique charm and fun seasonal coffees are sure to keep you coming back for more. Coffee Connection is located at 156 W. Second St., Oswego, N.Y. Its hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Connection Point: Looking for more than just coffee? In addition to being a café, The Connection Point also serves food and has a gift shop full of unique items. It is located at 198 W. First St., Oswego, N.Y. and is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cuppa Coffee: Love coffee, but life is too hectic to hang out at a café? No worries, Cuppa Coffee is a drive-thru-only establishment, perfect for grabbing a drink and a quick bite to eat during your busy schedule.  Enjoy a variety of coffee drinks, hot cocoa, tea, or try the food that’s on the menu! While selection varies, examples of menu items include baked goods, soups, protein balls, and more. Cuppa Coffee is located at 8633 NYS Rte. 104, Hannibal, N.Y. It is open Monday-Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Deja Brew: Along with coffee and a clever name, Deja Brew also has tea, fresh juice, smoothies, salads and more. The café serves breakfast and lunch items that you can eat dine-in or to go. Menu items include a wide variety of salads (Tzatziki chicken, chicken cobb, steak and strawberry, apple chicken walnut, and many others) as well as sandwiches, wraps, pancakes, toast, and more.  Deja Brew is located at 5752 U.S. Rte. 11, Pulaski, N.Y. It is open Tuesday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Khepera Coffee: Conveniently located within Canal Commons, Khepera is the perfect place to stop while out doing shopping in downtown Oswego. It is also a cozy place to hang out, with a sitting room and little free library. There are also games available to borrow while you’re there! Khepera serves a variety of drinks, including coffee, tea, matcha, chai, lemonade, hot chocolate and more. The shop also stocks goodies from Chelle’s Bakery and has some coffee-related items for sale. Khepera is located at 193 W. First St. in Oswego, N.Y. It is open Tuesday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

North Shore Coffee and Tea Co.: North Shore is a truly special coffee shop, offering visitors welcoming and cozy vibes. The sense of community can be felt strongly here, as items are available for sale from local artists, farmers, creatives, and more. The food and drinks are also delicious. Enjoy a variety of coffee, tea, and pastries. Food items available include breakfast sandwiches, mac and cheese, salads, pizza, paninis and more. North Shore Coffee and Tea Co. is located at 676 NYS Rte. 49, Bernhards Bay, N.Y. It is open Tuesday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Rhodes Coffee Co.: Another unique coffee shop, Rhodes Coffee was formerly a seasonal, “pop-up” style business in Pulaski. Any day that they were open, you could see a long line of people waiting to get coffee and other treats. While Rhodes is closed currently, its first brick and mortar store opens this spring! Rhodes is another truly community-oriented company, collaborating with other small businesses and even naming some of their signature drinks after nearby establishments or landmarks. While you’ll have to wait until spring to get your passport stamped, if you just can’t wait to try Rhodes Coffee, stop by Eclipse Acupuncture Wellness Studio! The studio carries a selection of to-go Rhodes cold brew lattes and syrups. When Rhodes Coffee opens this spring, it will be located on Main Street in Pulaski, N.Y.

Riverwalk Coffee Roasters: Ever smell the delicious scent of coffee in the air while you’re walking in downtown Oswego? It’s probably coming from Riverwalk Coffee Roasters! Riverwalk Coffee has fun seasonal lattes along with its standard menu of coffee, tea, hot cocoa, matcha and more. The shop also typically stocks its own seasonal merch and other cute items. If you’re hungry, stop by neighboring Riverwalk Bagels or Riverwalk Pizza for a mouth-watering breakfast or lunch. Riverwalk Coffee Roasters is located at 161 W. First St., Oswego, N.Y. It is open every day from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sweet Aroma Café: A popular gathering space in Central Square, Sweet Aroma is known for its good coffee and welcoming atmosphere. For those just going on a quick coffee run, Sweet Aroma also had a drive-thru for added convenience! Sweet Aroma offers a few specialty lattes each month, as well as its standard menu of coffee, tea, matcha, chai, hot chocolate and more. The shop also has pastries, breakfast sandwiches and wraps. Sweet Aroma Café is located at 2870 NYS Rte. 49, Central Square, N.Y. It is open Monday-Tuesday from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday-Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

114 Reserve: Another favorite hangout spot for locals is 114 Reserve! 114 is the only independent coffee shop in Fulton and is as welcoming as it is unique. The building was once a bank and still has the original vault, and 114 operates the drive-thru. 114 has fun specialty drinks as well as a full menu of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, matcha, and more. Plus, unlike many other coffee shops, 114 will do any of its seasonal drinks year-round, provided they have the ingredients on hand. Enjoy a delicious pastry or breakfast sandwich with your drink. Another unique aspect of the café is it frequently hosts evening events, from silent reading nights and book clubs to open mic nights, “Sip n’ Shop,” and educational “Sip n’ Learn” on interesting topics. 114 Reserve is located at 114 Oneida St., Fulton, N.Y. It is open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
