Catch Oswego County on “Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid” This Month
Oswego County has completed a video media project with “Viewpoint with Dennis Quaid” to showcase all that the area has to offer to potential new residents, businesses and visitors! The video highlights the county’s rich heritage and its fascinating story of economic growth, business opportunities, tourism, and more.
It took a little bit to break through the ice in the waterways, but Oswego County`s version of the groundhog has appeared and predicts a great year of fishing! 🎣

As we pause to reflect on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we also work to keep the legacy alive of those who passed through our city. The Safe Haven Museum and Education Center is dedicated to keeping alive the stories of the 982 refugees from World War II who were allowed into the United States as "guests" of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. These refugees were housed at Fort Ontario in Oswego, New York, from August 1944 until February 1946.

Dear Oswego County friends,
Merry Christmas Eve! 🎄 I want to thank all of my new friends for such a fun visit this holiday season! Every year, I learn so many new things and make so many new friends. I cannot wait to come back next holiday season! And you never know ... I just may pop back up throughout 2025.
But for now, I must get those last-minute letters to Santa to the North Pole and prepare for the big night tonight. I will make sure that Santa knows that all of you are on the nice list.
Have the best holiday and a very happy 2025, Oswego County! I will see you all very soon!❤️
Love,
Ozzy 🫶

Hello friends! 👋 Your pal Ozzy is back from a tasty Oswego County adventure!
I got to visit @pondpitbbq in Sandy Creek. As soon as I walked in, my mouth started watering. Everything smelled so delicious! The smokehouse was churning, so I know more tasty treats were being made! And it`s just the coziest place to sit and enjoy a meal. Everything on the menu looked so good and the people were so friendly. I even made some new friends who were visiting Oswego County to celebrate a birthday! I cannot wait to tell Santa and my elf friends about this place! 🎅
I had to check out the letters to Santa to make sure he takes care of all of the good Oswego County boys and girls. And Pond Pit has a fun holiday game where they hide a holiday pig to be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate. I looked, but maybe I was just a bit too small. But I know the people who win will have the best time at Pond Pit! 🐷
You can visit Pond Pit on Facebook at Pond Pit BBQ and be sure to visit in person! They are located at 8883 St. Rte. 3 in Sandy Creek. Note that with the holidays coming up, the pit is closed December 24-26, but the kitchen reopens December 27 at 11 a.m. 🎄
I still have some Oswego County fun to have, so stay tuned friends! ❤️
