I Love My Park Day is the largest single-day volunteer event in New York State. It’s a partnership between Parks & Trails New York, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), and New York State Parks.

Volunteers will participate in cleanup and improvement events at the fort, including: 

• Cleaning up litter 
• Planting native plants 
• Restoring trails and wildlife habitat 
• Removing invasive species 
• Working on site improvement projects 
• Sweeping and dusting buildings
