Journey into the Past at the Richardson-Bates House Museum
The Richardson-Bates House Museum is located in Oswego, N.Y., and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum offers a unique glimpse into the lifestyle of a prominent wealthy family, containing about 90% of the family’s original furnishings and most of their historic and ethnographic collections.
Hi guys! 👋 Your old pal Ozzy is back for another holiday season in Oswego County! It was a long summer and I`ve missed everyone here so much! 🥹
I jumped out of Elf Force One at @grangers_christmastreefarm and there were so many trees! There are tons of pre-cut trees, but the fields of trees are just filled with lots and lots of perfect trees.
But they don`t just have trees.
Friends ... they have goats! 🐐 I made some new goat friends and I will be sure to tell Santa to leave them some extra treats on Christmas Eve.
I also got to see where they make their beautiful wreaths and door swags. I don`t know how people choose because I wanted to take them all with me! I checked out inside of the barn where there is a toasty woodstove and snacks for the post-tree adventures. 🎄
Thank you so much to Granger`s for letting me visit! I had so much fun and I will make sure Santa has them on his nice list! I hope I get to see some of their trees decorated throughout the season! 🎅
Stay tuned for more of my adventures! I`m going to be out and about for all of December and I`m excited to be able to tell my North Pole friends about all of the fun Oswego County has to offer! ❄️

🎩🏅On this date in 1832: Dr. Mary Edwards Walker was born in Oswego. A pioneer of women`s rights, she is still the only female recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Fort Walker in Virginia is named after Dr. Walker and this year she was honored with her likeness on a quarter from the U.S. Mint.
