Oswego County is your home for off-road adventure! With over 100 miles of trails and a growing community of all-terrain vehicle (ATV) and utility task vehicle (UTV) enthusiasts, you’ll find plenty of recreational riding opportunities.
Member volunteers from two ATV clubs maintain extensive trail networks that provide a fun, safe experience for all riders and ensure the trails are kept environmentally sound. Their trails run through forests, fields and mud bog areas, over bridges and small hills and along old railroad beds. Whether following a flat, easy path or a more challenging and invigorating trail, each ride is a scenic adventure.
In northern Oswego County, club trails, picnic areas and camping sites are open only to members of the Oswego County ATV Club. Both single and family memberships are available, as are day passes for riding in September.
Southwestern trails cross both public and private lands and membership in the Oswego Valley ATV Club is strongly encouraged. An Oswego County ATV trail map showing the club’s riding network is provided for each individual and family membership. The system includes old railroad bed trails that are part of the National Rails-to-Trails System which requires all machines to be registered and insured.
Joining a club is a great way to meet other riders and learn more about this family-friendly activity. Membership provides you with the best access to prime Oswego County ATV trails made up of woodland routes, minimum service dirt roads and multi-use trails.

Remember, use only the trails designated for your ATV club or on private land where owners have given you permission to ride. For safety’s sake, stay on designated trails and obey the rules of the trail. Be courteous to others and leave the area cleaner than you found it.
